Taco & Tequila Festival is bringing the spirit of Jalisco, Mexico to the Mosaic DTLB on Saturday, July 8th! From 2-9 p.m., the streets of Downtown Long Beach will be filled with food vendors that will be offering tacos, sweet treats, and your favorite Mexican classics with a twist. Here are some of the food vendors that will be serving up their delicious cuisine to pair with your tequila at the festival!
Los Reyes del Taco Sabroso
Kicking off the list is Los Reyes del Tacos Sabroso, a family-owned restaurant serving traditional foods from Mexico City as well as trendy Mexican-Inspired LA eats. Aside from tacos, you can indulge in their tortas, gorditas, quesabirria, asada fries, and house-made horchata. Their tortillas are made by hand, giving you an authentic and flavorful Mexican cuisine experience that will transport you to the bustling streets of Mexico City.
Evil Cooks
Named one of LA’s 101 Best Restaurants two years in a row, this metal taco food stand is sure to rock your tastebuds. Evil Cooks is best known for their octopus and pork al pastor meats that are charred in a mixture of spices, dry chilies, blackened tortilla, and cacao to create a savory and unique flavor. They also service incredible desserts such as Flan Tacos, Chocoflan tacos, Arroz con leche tacos, Camote con leche tacos, and much more.
Birreria Los Cacharritos
Get your fix on classic Mexican flavors with a spin! Birreria Los Cacharritos is known for their birria ramen, which is a classic bowl of ramen noodles cooked in consomé and topped with tender birria. Catch them at Taco and Tequila Festival serving these mouthwatering ramen bowls along with asada plates, sopes, enchiladas, potato birria balls, birria tostadas, and of course tacos!
Thai Mex Cocina
Thai Mex Cocina brings you the traditional flavors of Thai food wrapped up in a warm Mexican corn tortilla! Try their chicken satay tacos drizzled in peanut sauce or their crispy pork tacos with their unique Thai salsa! This Thai-Mex fusion also serves up egg rolls, shrimp over rice, and curry to compliment your tacos.
Tres Lecheria
Originally based out of Seattle, Washington, Tres Lecheria is a Food Network and Netlifx’s Sugar Rush Christmas award-winning bakery serving sweet Mexican treats. The mobile sweet dealer serves everything from their classic tres leches cake (a sponge cake soaked in sweet/condensed milk) to unique flavors like their pineapple upside-down cake. To wash down those sweets, Tres Lecheria also serves different flavored horchata drinks and cold brew coffees. Dairy-free options are available for all the vegans and vegetarians out there!
