The Merchant
Located on Long Beach Boulevard near the Los Cerritos area, The Merchant offers unique, delicious-sounding drinks. Try the horchata latte or the vanilla honey oat latte if you’re an oat milk fan. They also have quite a few baked goods on the menu, including “neighborhood famous” cinnamon buns and jumbo cupcakes. Their website makes it super easy to place your order online and arrange for store pickup.

Commodity
The eye-catching facade of this Eastside coffee shop is enough to make you curious about what they offer. Commodity sells drinks for all hours of the day, from coffee to curated wine and beer picks, plus other beverages like kombucha and a vinegar cordial + mineral water concoction.
Beyond beverages, they offer an enticing lineup of meals. We’d take one of everything and two of the spicy potato taco, stuffed with smashed potatoes, chipotle, cilantro, and cotija cheese. We’re also a fan of the cheeky “Maybe Coffee, Probably Beer” mugs they sell.

Rose Park Coffee Roasters
Rose Park is both a physical coffee bar and a coffee bean roasting business in Long Beach.
You can choose a number of ways to patronize their business. Order from their brick-and-mortar store (online ordering and pickup available) or buy the coffee beans they roast. You can buy subscriptions, too. If you’re ordering from the cafe, try out their intriguing maple lavender latte. Another cool quirk about this business is that they offer free coffee bean delivery by bicycle all over Long Beach.

Wolf’s Brew Coffee
What goes better with coffee than donuts? Luckily, Wolf’s Brew Coffee has both. They have a solid coffee lineup featuring all your classic favorites (espresso, latte, mocha, etc.) plus turmeric chai, cold brew six-packs, and more. And then there are the donuts. Wolf’s Brew sells vegan donuts from another local Long Beach business: The Caffeinated Kitchen. Also available at a few other shops on this list, The Caffeinated Kitchen creates crave-able flavors like boysenberry, cinnamon bun, and pecan praline. Also interesting to note: Wolf’s Brew has their own coffee bean brand and also works with a number of other Californian roasters: Legal Speed, Flashlight Coffee, Sightglass, and Urban Pioneer.
