5th Annual LepraCon LBC Pub Crawl 2018

Did you know that this year St. Patrick’s Day falls on a Saturday?!?!? Maybe some of us (ahem) will pay for it the next day, but luckily that will be a Sunday meaning you will have a whole day to recover from your hangover!

So are you looking for something fun to do on this special day?
(Of course you are.)

Come participate in the 5th annual LepraCon Long Beach Pub Crawl! Last year, the LepraCon Long Beach group included over 100 people dressed as leprechauns and other St. Paddy’s Day themed costumes. The LepraCon Pub Crawl is not only a lot of fun but it also benefits many of those in need in Long Beach, San Pedro, and the surrounding areas.

In 2015, Long Beach resident Stuart Shelton teamed up with St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Long Beach and came up with the idea of LepraCon to help those less fortunate in our community by collecting donations that help provide hot meals and clean clothes every Saturday.

Additionally, LepraCon’s goal is to help provide a hot shower to these community members, an issue that is often overlooked. It might sound like a small gesture, but a hot shower can help reestablish pride in these individuals.

The annual event continues to grow, doubling in both number of participants and donations each year. Please join us on Saturday, March 17 and have a great time while supporting a great cause as well. Clothing donations will be accepted at all of the stops along the crawl. Cash donations are great too!

Acceptable clothing Donations:
Jeans, Pants, Belts, Socks, T-Shirts, Underwear, Jackets, Blankets, Shoes, Hats, and Toiletries. We accept new or used clothing, as long as they are washed and clean. But please, for obvious reasons, do not donate the clothes you are wearing during the pub crawl. You know who you are 😉
