Arts and Entertainment: Picardi Photography
Who doesn’t love custom photography? Vinny Picardi’s work was first exhibited in 2002 in Santa Monica, and demand has only continued to grow. He is currently working on his Go Local campaign which creates custom images to suit each client’s surroundings. Having images tailored to the client’s space creates a more intimate connection to the art.

Valeria’s is a woman-owned and latinx-owned salon in the 7th district. The staff are always friendly and they style and cut kids’ hair, curly hair, they do perms and extensions, they do it all! The establishment has a calming vibe and they have great prices too!
Food and Restaurant: Buono’s Pizzeria
If you walk into Buono’s, you’ll immediately feel like family.It’s no surprise that Buono’s is also family-owned. The restaurant has an old school Italian restaurant feel, and the prices aren’t too far from old school either. You can easily feed a family of 4 for under $50, and you’ll probably have leftovers! They have all of the Italian classics including pizza, pasta, subs, breadsticks, and of course, a delicious assortment of wines to accompany your meal. Their meatballs are my personal favorite! Buono’s is a great place for a romantic date night, a family dinner, or a night out with friends.

If you’re looking for affordable electronics, look no further than Lizto. Lizto is a family owned electronics store in the 7th district and they have all the hottest gadgets from phones to computers to playstations. They have a great selection and also offer reasonable financing options and payment plans. Lizto is definitely a staple for all of your gadget needs.

Whether you’re looking to tone up or lose weight, if you want to work out as a group or one on one, Motivations has options for you.In addition to fitness, they offer health and nutrition guidance as well.The trainers here are knowledgeable about the human body and several of them have medical training of degrees in fields like kinesiology.Motivations has an intimate feel and you can even request your own taste in music.Check them out and get started on your summer body!

Nightlife: Wrigley Tavern & Garden
Fun fact: Once upon a time, The Wrigley Tavern used to be a community garden.After it was sold, it sat empty and was an eyesore for the city, full of trash.The community came together to revive the garden space and turn it into the beautiful tavern it is today.They offer a variety of specialty flatbreads starting at just $13, including their delicious brunch flatbread with avocado and cherry tomatoes.The Wrigley Tavern also features an extensive beer menu and an assortment of signature cocktails.

Gemmae is a bakeshop that specializes in authentic cuisine from the Philippines.They have been family-owned and operated for over 40 years, and they are also Filipina owned.Gemmae has a delicious variety of ensaymadas, pianonos, and hopias, and they make beautiful custom cakes as well.Everything is baked fresh daily, and they also offer catering.Check them out for your next event!

Because pets need spa days too!Wrigley’s Pet Spaw offers grooming, bathing, and nail clipping.The staff is friendly and professional. They do a great job at making even the most skittish dogs feel comfortable.The prices are great too.
