We’re at that awkward in-between-holidays time! Some of us are taking a break, some are gearing up for Thanksgiving, and some of us want to skip ahead and start prepping for Christmas or Hanukkah! DIA DE LOS MUERTOS ART EXHIBITION
Wednesday November 6th 11am-5pm
When: Wednesday November 6th from 11 am – 5 pm (and also every day through November 10th)
Where: MOLAA 628 Alamitos Ave, Long Beach
This is the last week for this exhibit at the MOLAA! The Día de los Muertos Exhibition is a juried display of art and altars open to artists residing in Southern California. The art and altars will be on the display to the public in MOLAA’s Education Gallery and are featured as a part of MOLAA’s Día de los Muertos curriculum.
This year’s Día de los Muertos theme addresses our lineages and how we have been consciously and unconsciously shaped by them. It will highlight the way in which previous generations: familial, cultural, and community-oriented, shape our beliefs, habits, and customs. De generación a generación invites artists and audiences to connect with parts of themselves they did not know much about, creating a link between the past and the present. SESAME STREET LIVE IN LONG BEACH

Sesame Street Live is coming to LB! I remember going to this with my parents as a kid and I loved it. I’m super excited to have the opportunity to take my kids as well The story line for this show will be Elmo wanting to do magic, but he doesn’t know how! He teams up with Abby and Justin where he will discover the “power of yet” — the lesson that with perseverance and practice, nothing can stand between you and your dream. DOODLE PAINT PARTY

Who doesn’t love arts and crafts?! This Doodle Paint Party is fun for all ages, however they recommend children ages 4 and under sit with an adult. $25.00 Doodle Artist tickets include the following: (1) 11×14 stretched canvas, all necessary art supplies and (1) juice or water. $35.00 Doodle Adult tickets include the following: (1) 11×14 stretched canvas, all necessary art supplies and (1) beer or coffee. RANCHO LOS ALAMITOS HOLIDAY SHOPPING PREVIEW

Get ready to see local Artisans and Craftsmen presenting their unique jewelry, glass products, specialty foods, candles, home & garden décor and more! Get an early start on your holiday shopping in a beautiful and relaxed setting while enjoying complimentary light refreshments. Free convenient parking and admission.
You are also welcome to explore the rancho while you are there. There are beautiful gardens, farm animals, and of course, the rancho itself. The Grand is hosting a Penelope Lane Boutique Holiday Market! There will be over 60+ unique makers and artisans including clothes, jewelry, home goods, and baby goods. Parking is free and there will also be a free holiday donut bar included with the price of admission. Tickets are only $2, military and under 12 are free.
