Absolute Best of Long Beach – District 4 business spotlight

Did you know Long Beach has been number 1 on the list of places to live with the best weather? For good reason! Our city loves to be outside in this wonderful climate, but don’t forget your furry friends. Recreation Park is a lovely place to spend a day. Not only does it have plenty of grass and trees with seating areas throughout, it also has a large dog park filled with play equipment and plenty of water sources. This park is located walking distance from some great spots to pick up lunch or a coffee. So, bring a blanket, a book, and your fur baby to spend some time at Recreation Park.

Long Beach has had quite an explosion of great pizza lately, but some of the best slices in the city have been around for nearly a decade! Milana’s Brooklyn Squares is the second location of Milana’s New York Pizzeria and they’re all about the Sicilian Squares. While they do serve plenty of NY thin slices, pastas, and sandwiches you would be truly missing out if you didn’t try their signature Square Slices. The crust is fluffy on the inside while keeping a crisp exterior for a flawless crunch. All of their ingredients from their dough to their sauce are made in house with their closely guarded family recipes. Make sure you top your square with their house-made Sicilian bread crumbs for an extra kick of authentic Italian flavor!
