BE REAL
When you embrace your authentic self and come as you are, you not only honor your own truth but also contribute to a space where others feel safe to do the same.
Come as you are, and join our movement.
BE GIVING
Giving back to our community by volunteering, lending your skills, your time and respect for others, you contribute to a place where everyone feels valued and supported. Together, we can build a community where everyone thrives.
BE ICONIC
Being Iconic is more than just standing out—it’s about leading with pride and purpose. Whether you’re a leader, a drag queen, or someone who simply wants to make a difference, you help inspire others to do the same. Embrace your unique power and be an icon our community looks up to.
BE RADICAL
Challenge the status quo, demand change, fight for others, be an activist. A catalyst for progress, pushing our community for the better of all of us.
Be part of our movement—let’s shake things up.
BE FREE
Building a community for everyone to be themselves, have a sense of belonging, to love and be loved; because living without constraints, embracing who you are and belonging to a community shouldn’t be only for some.
BE LOVED
Love is love, and it transcends all labels, offering acceptance, warmth and belonging to everyone. By embracing this truth, we create a community where each person is valued for who they are and where love in all its forms is celebrated.
BE THE CHANGE.
It’s about taking a role in building a better community. It’s about demanding progress, embracing new ideas, and not being afraid to challenge the old ways. While we honor and learn from our past, we have the power to create a new future. Lets build a community where everyone can thrive, where bold ideas are welcomed, and where our future is for all.
2023 EVENT RECAP
Thanks to all your support we accomplished far beyond our expectations..
As Pride events all over the country keep on getting bigger, and more commercialized; it is not always easy or financially feasible to make these events free or accessible to much of our local communities. It is important that our queer community doesn’t lose sight of the reason we celebrate pride. It is and will always be a protest, it is a safe place for our queer community to be who they are, to be free, to be radical, to be loved, to be proud!… and to us, that’s the most important thing. We believe Pride Celebrations should be for EVERYONE not just the ones that can afford it, it should serve our local community, our local businesses and our local youth, it is up to us, our local LGBTQ community to be the change.
We call upon our LGBTQ community to join us in supporting our local queer-owned business, our queer bars, our youth, and most important to believe in our collective power, we can make a successful event accessible, inclusive, safe and GAY!
We’ve done it with your help! Thank you!

VENDORS
IDENTIFIED
AS LGBTQ+
More than 100 vendors were able to participate in the celebrations, from candle makers to amazing food makers, from tarot readers to dance classes… it was imperative for us to focus on queer-owend and queer-supporting local businesses, that often times get priced out of the other festivals. These same businesses are the ones that support us year round, and they deserve to be part of our festivals.
PROUD PROJECT!
Giving back, taking pride and helping our Gayborhood!
Every year with the help of our community, Be Proud! Fest will chooses a project to help improve the neighborhood. The project can be anything from tree planting, minor park repairs, neighborhood clean-ups, activations and more.
We believe that by helping our neighborhoods and activating our neighborhoods creates a more vibrant, diverse and safe community; a community that takes pride on their streets, their shops and overall community.
45 NEW TREES
PLANTED.
Thanks to the collaboration with Vice Mayor Cindy Allen and the City of Long Beach we were able to plant trees along Broadway Corridor and Bixby Park, helping improve the neighborhood.
