The Center
Located on 4th Street, The Center offers a wide range or resources for members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Health services like rapid STI testing are available in addition to resources like legal assistance and mental health counseling. The Center also offers services tailored to older adults. Join them on June 15th for their annual black and white ball, a night to dress to the nines while indulging in great food and drinks while raising money for the center. This non-profit is dedicated to highlighting safe spaces around the city while promoting LGBTQ+ owned and allied businesses. From places to stay, where to eat and where to shop, Visit Gay Long Beach seeks to promote a sense of belonging for LGBTQ+ community members. Gay for Good
For over 15 years, this non-profit has been specializing in mobilizing LGBTQ+ volunteers and allies. In addition to servicing the Long Beach, they also have a presence in 19 other major cities. Long Beach Trans Pride
This organization was born out of a desire to provide a safe space for members of the trans and non-binary community at any stage of transitioning. Every year, they host Long Beach Trans Pride in collaboration with California Families in Focus. This year’s celebration is taking place on September 18 at Bixby Park. AIDS Food Store
Since 1985, this organization has provided food security to individuals who have been infected with or affected by HIV/AIDS. They offer grocery pickups every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month. Inclusivity and community are at the heart of AFS’s mission. Learn more about AFS, visit their website.
